POLICY RESEARCH
The Sperm Donor Abuse Foundation is based upon up to date current policy research, which is conducted to increase knowledge and understanding of cyber-mediated violence against women in the unregulated Internet sperm donor community. This research directly informs our support services for victims/survivors of sperm donor abuse. The policy research also informs the safety guides and literature, which we produce for women considering using Internet sperm donor websites - our priority is to reduce victimisation.
When we produce our safety guides and literature, we also do so with a wide variety of professionals in mind, from those working on the frontline in healthcare - namely those in antenatal/maternity services as well as those in assisted reproduction - together with those professionals working in the criminal justice system. Academics and service providers focused upon domestic violence, the causal link between reproduction and violence, sexual orientated violence, and the link between health inequality and harm, will also find the policy research essential reading. Research briefings/reports are submitted to the HFEA. |
